8th Street Family Dentistry

Branding | Stationery | Signage

After acquiring his own dental practice in Traverse City, Michigan from a retiring dentist, Tom Brown DDS decided a rebrand was in order. Once he had finalized the new name, I was approached to create a unique identity for 8th Street Family Dentistry that would set them apart from other local practices while encompassing Tom’s personality.

We set out to create a sleek, no-frills logomark that displays trust and professionalism. Something that looks sturdy, a mark that couldn’t even be destroyed by sandblasting. When you come to Leone’s for protective coatings, you can bet you’re getting the best.

A well-made logo can be ruined by a poor color palette, so we kept it mellow and avoided any flashy colors to really let the logomark shine. We decided to go with a trustworthy blue palette and also sprinkled in some green as a nod to the beautiful hues of Lake Michigan.

The logo package was rounded out after creating multiple lockups, wordmarks, and secondary logos that are ready to use for any application. A simple style guide was also created to help provide basic information about the logos, colors, and usage.
