Jibba Jabba 2025
Logo | Poster | Merchandise
Taking place in downtown Houghton, Michigan, Jibba Jabba is a street-style snowboarding event where some of the Midwest’s best riders come together to put on a show and compete for the top spot. Snowboarding is near and dear to my heart, so when I had the opportunity to create the event logo and poster two years in a row, I couldn’t say no.
With the event falling on Valentine’s weekend, we decided to lean into it and embrace the spirit of the holiday. A classic red, pink, and white color palette was used throughout the logo and poster design, with a stylized heart-shaped container encompassing the logotype. The logo was created to stand out yet be simple enough that it could be used anywhere at any size.
2025 Poster
Snowboarding in the streets is tough, so it only felt appropriate to add a healthy amount of grunge and texture to the poster as a way to encapsulate the level of grit and determination it takes to compete in a contest like this. Photos from local photographers from the previous year’s event were used in the background to show a sample of what was to come.

A small assortment of secondary graphics were created that could be used on stickers, merchandise, and other goods to promote the event.
